We are a small independent Pre-school that meets in the wonderful rural location of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. It is a 16th century village hall, Known as Church House, provides a unique, historical setting for Pre-school. The Pre-school is able to utilise the first floor as our main space, plus the downstairs hall and lawn for more active play. There is also a garden in which children can be involved in growing vegetables and observing nature. On a Wednesday morning 'Outdoor Classroom' is held in a field close to the village centre as part of our sessions lead by our own staff. Continuity for the children is a very important part of what we offer; although many of our pupils start as babies with our "Widdytots" group and progress on to the village school, we welcome pupils from a wide area and those attending other settings.
We aim to provide quality Early Years provision for children aged 2- 5 years. We have very close links with Widecombe Primary School and use regular visits to ensure that the transition between Pre-school and school is as smooth as possible.
We hope that these pages will provide you with all you need to know about our Pre-school. However if you would like to speak to someone or arrange a visit please don't hesitate to:

Preschool is held in Church House, a listed building attached to the famous 'Cathedral in the Moor'. The garden looks out onto the village green where ponies often graze peacefully.
The sessions begin and end upstairs where toys, activities and crafts are available for children to choose and there is a large space downstairs for more active play including bikes and equipment.
We have a fabulous garden with raised beds that the children planted last year. The lovely lawn, sand and water play ensure that there is always opportunity for the children to be outside during a session.
