What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is a responsibility for everyone; staff, committee, parents and the surrounding community. It is the action we all should take to protect children's welfare and protect them from harm.

If you have any concerns about any child, family or adults, no matter how small the concerns may seem, please do ask to speak to our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Penny Cartwright, or the deputy DSLs, Frances Pickering and Evelyn Edworthy.

You can also speak to our committee safeguarding lead, Judy Southcombe, or our chair, Rose Underhill.

If you would like any support yourself, we encourage you to speak with any of the named persons above, for a confidential, understanding, caring chat.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and will do this by putting young people and vulnerable adult’s right to be ‘strong, resilient and listened to ‘at the heart of all our activities.
